I need to catch up with documenting the porridge I have had on my travels this summer. Here is the porridge at Ross Priory, the wonderful conference centre/hotel run by the University of Strathclyde:
(It was a great conference, too).
We were delighted to find porridge served in First Class on the East Midlands railway from Leicester to London:
I thinkt hat is the only porridge I have found on a train. With real china and cutlery, and you wind up arriving at Saint Pancras.
In Chatham, we stayed at an excellent B&B, Officers' Hill, in the Historic Dockyard. Carol served large bowls of fresh fruit - with porridge:
After porridge, one can wander around the dockpard, with its huge and beautiful industrial sheds.
Finally, we had porridge during the Festival at Craigelachie Hotel, one of our fabourite Edinburgh guest houses:
They also have excellent fresh fruit, all cut and arranged artistically on a big plate.
We are going back to Edinburgh for the end of the Festival, so we may have more porridge to report.
